Series starting May 1, 2016
All of us look at an Olympic athlete or a trained musician and long to achieve the seeming ease with which they play their “instrument”. In the Christian life, we often do the same thing when we look at mature saints; wondering how it is they seem to demonstrate Christ so effortlessly in their lives.
What we rarely see however is the hours of disciplined, holistic training and personal sacrifice that goes into the seemingly effortless product.
What is true for the athlete/musician is no less true for the Christian. Increased freedom/ease in demonstrating Christ does not happen by accident. The Christian life we desire requires intentional, disciplined, whole-body exercise to achieve.
